COVID-19 Medical Panel in Farsi

Advocated for Police Reforms

Joined over 400 organizations to call on Congress to demilitarize the police alongside over 400 organizations, including by offering recommendations for Congress to pass immediately in an effort to address systemic racism and police violence.

Launched COVID-19 Resources Hub

Created a COVID-19 resource hub that outlines information for employers, offers general financial information, provides mental health resources, and details other resources available to our community.

Supported #BLM

Stood in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of the brutal police killing of George Floyd, including by hosting a panel discussion with James Burch of the Anti-Police Terror Project and Azadeh Shahshahani of Project South to discuss systemic racism in the U.S.

Pressed DNC for JCPOA Return

Alongside our pro-diplomacy partners, called on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to support an unequivocal U.S. return to the Iran nuclear deal as part of the its 2020 Democratic Platform. 

Advocated for the Release of Dr. Asgari

Alongside Iranian-American organizations nationwide, we urged ICE to release Iranian national Dr. Sirous Asgari who was unjustly detained by the agency and held in conditions that heightened risk of contracting coronavirus.

Premiered NIACast, the NIAC podcast that brings together NIAC staff, experts and analysts, and members of our community to break down current political issues, celebrate arts and culture, and discuss the most pressing issues of the day.
